Allyship
The standard dictionary explains allyship this way..."the status or role of a person who advocates and actively works for the inclusion of a marginalized or politicized group in all areas of society, not as a member of that group but in solidarity with its struggle and point of view and under its leadership: Genuine allyship does not come with special recognition—we do not get awards for confronting issues people have to live with every day."
There are many ways friends, family, coworkers and even strangers can be allies for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. You can find here some places that have created ways for you and others to start your allyship today.

We acknowledge that we live on the land that is the traditional unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Wolastoqiyik Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties do not deal with surrender of lands and resources, but in fact, recognize Wolastoqiyik title and establish the rules for what is an ongoing relationship between nations.
